while photographing new babies is one of my favorite things, if that window of time is missed (or just feels too stressful to make happen), i always recommend scheduling a session for around 3 months old. baby is smiling readily, life is settling into a more predictable routine, and it’s just a wonderful season of enjoying being a family… the johnson family was the perfect example of this. i loved meeting them and their sweet kids, and spending a morning just hanging out while they snuggled and played and loved on each other. family is such a beautiful thing <3
